Ingredients
  1. 1/2 cup diced onions
  2. 1/2 cup diced carrots
  3. 1/2 cup diced celery
  4. 1/2 cup diced turnip
  5. 4 potatoes quartered
  6. 1/8 lb salt pork
  7. 2 pounds venison, lamb or beef cut in small pieces
  8. 1 pint of water
  9. 1 teaspoon salt
  10. ¼ tsp. pepper
Directions
  • Cook meat 1 hour in water with salt and pepper
  • Add all other ingredients
  • Cook together for one hour
  • Dumplings to taste may be added last 12 minutes.
