Ingredients
  1. 1 large bunch of celery
  2. Mace (beaten)
  3. Nutmeg
  4. Pepper
  5. Salt
  6. Butter
  7. Flour
  8. 1 cup red wine
  9. 1 Spoonful catchup
  10. 1/2 pint good gravy
  11. 1 Lemon
Directions
  • Take the celery, wash and pare it very clean, cut it into little thin bits
  • Boil it softly in a little water till it is tender
  • Add a little beaten mace, some nutmeg, pepper and salt
  • Thicken with a good piece of butter rolled in flour
  • Add wine, catchup, and gravy
  • Boil all these together, and pour into the dish
  • Garnish with lemon
