an English anatomist. Edwardes was educated first at Oxford and afterwards at Cambridge. He took an M.D. at Cambridge in 1529. His only two known works are both on anatomy.

Among his pupils was William Giffard, afterwards archbishop of Rheims. On account of his firm adherence to the old form of religion he suffered frequent imprisonments both at Oxford and London during the space of about thirty years. This seriously impaired his health and fortune.
