Shrimps, Potted
Easy seafood dish

Time: 1/4 hour to soak in the butter.

  1. 1 pint of shelled shrimps
  2. 1/4 lb. of fresh butter
  3. 1 blade of pounded mace
  4. cayenne to taste
  5. a little nutmeg, when liked

  1. Have ready a pint of picked shrimps
  2. Put them, with the other ingredients, into a stewpan
  3. Let them heat gradually in the butter, but do not let it boil
  4. Pour into small pots
  5. When cold, cover with melted butter, and carefully exclude the air
